1. Max Registry Cleaner

Max Registry Cleaner led the field in four out
of six of our test categories. This easily
ranked it 1st overall in our testing of five
registry cleaning products. It’s hard to find a
bad thing to say about this product. Please read
on to discover why Max Registry Cleaner scored
so well with us.
2. Scan Speed Test

Like all of the products, no significant load was added to the CPU during the scan. While scoring well in this category is impressive on the surface, it’s not until we delve into the quality of the scan and how well it detected and fixed errors that we can really make a judgment.
3. Registry Errors Found and Fixed Tests

Max Registry Cleaner finished 3rd in the number
of errors found category with 416 errors.
This might not be as bad as it seems, since there is no standard among the five products we tested for reporting registry errors. i.e., one bad registry entry with five values could constitute five errors in one program, and only one error in another.
So to clear up any ambiguity, we devised another test that would help us figure out exactly how many changes were made to the registry and compared those results with the number of reported errors by Max Registry Cleaner.
Max Registry Cleaner ranked 2nd in this category, which means the number of changes made to the registry corresponded very closely with the number of errors reported. In this case Max Registry Cleaner found 416 errors and made 392 changes to the registry for 94% accuracy.

4. Common Registry Errors Test

Testing the ability of Max Registry Cleaner to remove some common
and annoying error messages

Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. A lot of error messages can not be made to disappear with a simple registry scan, that said they are ale to eliminate some common and very annoying error messages with ease.
In this test, we manually created 5 different error messages and tested Max Registry Cleaner against them to see if they could be fixed.
In the end, Max Registry Cleaner once again tied for 1st place in this test successfully eliminating all 5 error messages doing nothing more than running a system scan.

5. Multiple Scans Test

Testing whether new errors are found after multiple consecutive scans
In this test, each product ran five successive scan and fixes, and the number of errors detected after each scan were investigated.
After Max Registry Cleaner scanned and fixed its first 446 reported errors, it found no more error in the remaining 4 scans. You would think that after one scan and fix, the next scan would produce zero errors so this is no big deal, right?
This surprisingly is not the case for some of the other registry cleaners we tested. In fact RegCure was a program that continued to find errors after all 5 scans and called into question the accuracy of it results.
It is vitally important that the registry cleaning software you select does not produce false positives (or problems that are really not there) And for this test Max Registry Cleaner performed very well.

6. PC Performance

Our final test was the PC Performance to test to
see if it was possible to measure any overall
improvement in the computers performance as a
result of running Max Registry Cleaner.
To do this, we used some PC Benchmarking software that measures the performance of the various components of a PC and gives an overall performance score. First we established the baseline performance score before running the registry scan and then ran the performance scan again to see if the overall score had improved as a result of using Max Registry Cleaner.
The baseline score was 458.3 and the score after running Max RC was 511. See image below of all registry cleaners and their performance scores.
Max Registry Cleaner ranked 1st once again in the performance test improving PC Performance by an estimated 11.5%
It’s important to note that Max Registry Cleaner is the only product we tested that includes a registry defrag option, and this could be why it performed so well. Nevertheless, this is an important 1st place to claim, as PC performance is what many users are really after when they set about to clean and fix their registry.

in first place in 4 out of six of our
tests and ranked no lower than 3rd place
in any of the tests.
