- Found and fixed a large number of
registry errors (with reasonable
efficiency)
- Boost in PC Performance
- Required two scan/fix runs to remove
all errors
- Slow Scan Speed
1. Registry Fix
Section 1
Registry Fix ranked 2nd overall in the five
registry-cleaning products we tested. It
finished first in one testing category, and
scored well in most others. In fact, Registry
Fix beat the overall 1st-ranked product in two
of the six test categories.
2. Scan Speed Test
Section 2
Registry Fix came in 4th place in the scan speed
test, coming in at 4:17 seconds.
However, no significant load was added to the CPU during the scan, so your machine can still be used while the scan is running.
Scoring this low in a category isn’t impressive at-a-glance, but if you dig deeper into the results the scan produced, you’ll see the speed of the scan in this case is not a major factor.
Please see the video to see this test in action.

3. Registry Errors Found and Fixed Tests
Section 3
Registry Fix placed 2nd in the number of errors
found category with 565 errors.
But since each product may count registry errors according to different algorithms, we also tested how many registry errors were actually fixed using third-party software as a benchmark.
In the actual changes made to the registry category, Registry Fix finished 1st in the field. Of the 565 errors it detected, it made a total of 588 changes to the registry, with a accuracy of 96%. This was a pleasantly surprising result because in previous tests we have done, Registry Fix did not perform as well so this shows signs that they have been working to improve the accuracy of their product..

4. Common Registry Errors Test
Section 4
One of the most common claims and indeed one of
the most heavily hyped benefits of registry
cleaners is that they are able to fix and
eliminate a large range of error messages that
crop up on your computer.
Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. A lot of error messages can not be made to disappear with a simple registry scan, that said they are ale to eliminate some common and very annoying error messages with ease.
In this test, we manually created 5 different error messages and tested Registry Fix against them to see if they could be fixed.
Registry Fix performed well, tying for 1st place. As a registry-cleaning product should have, it successfully removed five out of five of the most common registry errors we intentionally manufactured..
A video of the test results can be viewed above.

5. Multiple Scans Test
Section 5
When it came to the multiple scans test,
Registry Fix ranked 4th.
In this test, each product ran five successive scans and fixes, and the number of errors detected after each scan were investigated.
After Registry Fix scanned and fixed its first 562 reported errors, it only found one more error in the second through fifth scans. Our research found this additional error was caused by Registry Fix creating some sort of log file or entry into the registry, so it’s not an alarming point.
So overall Registry Fix seemed to do well in this category. You would think that after one scan and fix, the next scan would produce zero errors so this is no big deal, right?
This surprisingly this not the case for some of the other registry cleaners we tested. In fact RegCure was a program that continued to find errors after all 5 scans and called into question the accuracy of it results.
It is vitally important that the registry cleaning software you select does not produce false positives (or problems that are really not there) And for this test Registry Fix performed pretty good although not as good as the top 3 programs that detected no additional errors..

6. PC Performance
Section 6
Our final test was the PC Performance to test to
see if it was possible to measure any overall
improvement in the computers performance as a
result of running Max Registry Cleaner.
To do this, we used some PC Benchmarking software that measures the performance of the various components of a PC and gives an overall performance score. First we established the baseline performance score before running the registry scan and then ran the performance scan again to see if the overall score had improved as a result of using Registry Fix.
The baseline score was 458.3 and the score after running Registry Fix was 497.1. See image below of all registry cleaners and their performance scores.
Registry Fix ranked 2nd in the performance test category. It increased overall PC performance by 8.5%. PC performance is an important category to score well on, as many computer users, whether professional or recreational, consider improved performance a desirable result when cleaning their registry.

7. Summary
Section 7
![]() |
To sum it up, Registry Fix placed 2nd
overall of the five products we tested.
It’s worth noting again that Registry
Fix beat the overall winner in two
categories (errors found and number of
registry changes). It wasn’t necessarily
the fastest scan, but it scored well
where it counts: fixing registry errors
efficiently and improving your PC’s
performance.
